TV Cards

Shown below is my favorite`toy', a 128 MB ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon Video, TV Tuner, Capture, DVD, Video editing, etc. card.  Paid $50 for it (at Geeks.com) and haven't scratched the surface on all the features it has.  One use I will share with you is capturing old family VHS movies and converting them to DVD.

Below here is a screen shot of my desktop with my old ATI TV Tuner running in the background.  This is a great way to watch a ballgame or golf match while you are working or cruising the net!!

TV cards are relatively cheap (under $50 for a good generic one) and simple to install and use.  I think ATI makes the best one out there (but I'm prejudiced).  I even have my VCR hooked to mine that allows me to run old family tapes and do impromptu still captures of irreplaceable moments.  If you have a TV cable outlet in the vicinity of your PC, or just want to use the VCR trick, go for it!
