Don't wind up with your personal computer in the condition of  the guy below - TAKE CARE OF IT!!  "Tuning up" your PC includes optimizing the way your files are stored on your hard drive, fixing fragmented and crosslinked files and lost file clusters, cleaning up your registry, removing temporary and backup `junk' from your hard drive, removing unnecessary background programs, making sure your PC is `virus clean', checking for hardware defects, etc. etc.  If you do not maintain your PC (software) properly, your machine will `freeze'  on you, give you error messages that would take a rocket scientist to figure out, and, worst case, "crash" on you!  Need I say more?

The best investment you can make in your software inventory is to go out and buy "Norton System Works 2001" - it will do more to keep your computer working properly than any other  `utility' on the market.  Peter Norton started in this business about the same time Bill Gates dreamed up "Microsoft" - and Peter has augmented Bill's software development efforts by developing his own programs to keep your total system `optimized'  and `virus clean' throughout the evolution of the PC.  I talk more about this under Utilities, so do yourself and your PC a favor and see what I have to say on the utilities page!
