"PC Applications" are programs written for specific purposes - and are really the only reason to have a computer!  The most common applications are "Word Processing", "Spreadsheets", "Databases", "Graphics Programs", "Business Programs", "Internet Programs", and "Utilities".  Another biggie for a lot of people is "Games", but I don't have the time for those.  It takes a while to learn these applications when you are first starting out - so be patient, take a class, go to the "help" feature of the program you are trying to use, talk to friends - and read the suggestions and fundamental principles of using the programs that I've included here..

Shown above is the Microsoft Corporation logo for "Office 2000" - the most powerful  combination of computer applications ever assembled!  It includes "MSWord" (word processing), "MSExcel" (spreadsheets), "MSAccess" (databases), "MSPublisher" (graphics and desktop publishing), "MSPowerpoint" (professionally animated business presentations), and "MSOutlook" (calendar, `contacts' database, E-Mail, etc. for office use).  With this `package', any office (or home user) can do just about anything!!  A `sister' application to `Office' is "MSFrontPage" which is the web design application I am using to create this site.

The current version of the Microsoft business applications suite is "Office XP" - but it is essentially the same group of programs with some embellishments.
